Your in-game status lets other players know whether you're available to chat, play, or prefer not to be disturbed. Your status is shown through your online indicator and player presence throughout the game.
Available Statuses
Online: You're available and visible to other players.
Away: You're temporarily inactive or away from the game.
Busy: You're online but prefer not to be disturbed.
Invisible: You appear offline to other players in their friendlist while remaining connected.
How to Change Your Status
On Web (Desktop)
Via Your Profile
Enter a game room.
Click your avatar in the top-left corner of the game screen.
Click the status indicator below your player name and personal message.
Select one of the following:
Online
Away
Busy
Invisible
Via Chat Command
You can also set yourself as Away using a chat command:
/afk— Sets your status to Away./afk <message>— Sets your status to Away and displays a custom away message.
Example:
/afk grabbing coffee
If another player sends you a private message while you're Away, they will automatically receive your away message.
On Mobile (iOS & Android)
Enter a game room.
Tap the third icon in the chat area (Profile / Room Information).
Locate your current status next to your player name.
Tap the status indicator.
Select:
Online
Away
Busy
Invisible
The available statuses and their behavior are the same as on Web.
Status Details
Online
You appear online in the game.
Your current room and presence are visible to friends.
Friends can see you in their friend lists.
You can receive invitations when your gameplay state allows it.
Away
You remain online.
Friends can still see you.
Your status indicates that you're currently away from your keyboard or device.
Players who send you a private message receive an automatic Away reply.
Some games automatically switch you to Away after 5 minutes of inactivity.
How to Set Away Status
Manually:
Select Away from the status menu.
Use
/afk.Use
/afk <message>.
If activity resumes, your previous status may be restored automatically.
Busy
You remain online.
Friends can see you in their friend lists.
Your status indicates that you prefer not to be disturbed.
Important
Busy does not block messages.
Busy does not block invitations.
Busy does not send automatic replies.
Busy is an informational status that lets other players know you may not be available to respond immediately.
Invisible
You do not appear online in friend lists.
Other players cannot see where you're playing unless they are present in your current room.
Players who send you a private message receive an automatic offline reply.
What Happens Behind the Scenes
You remain connected to the game.
The system still recognizes you as online.
Authorized staff members can still see your actual online presence when necessary.
Personal Status vs Gameplay Status
Your personal status is separate from your gameplay status.
When you're not actively participating in a game, your selected status (Online, Away, Busy, or Invisible) is displayed.
However, if you're:
Playing
Observing another game
Participating in a tutorial or practice round
your gameplay status may temporarily be shown instead.
Your personal status becomes visible again once you return to a normal state.
Automatic Away Detection
Some games include automatic AFK (Away From Keyboard) detection.
After 5 minutes (300 seconds) of inactivity, your status may automatically change to Away.
Any new activity restores your previous status.
Automatic AFK detection does not activate if you're already set to:
Away
Invisible
